Panasonic has put its manufacturing plant in Krompachy, Slovakia, on the market for €1.5m. The Japanese electronics producer decided to offload the property after it stopped producing Blu-Ray recorders and DVD recorders at the plant. Panasonic employed 1,200 in Krompachy before the crisis hit.
CBRE is brokering the sale of the 4.25 ha site, 50 km from Košice in eastern Slovakia. The area offers 25,500 sqm of storage and manufacturing space and is easily accessible by bus and train. Originally built in 1952, the plant underwent a thorough refurbishment in 2000.
