Panattoni completes construction of BTS facility for KION in Kolbaskowo

Panattoni has completed the construction of a forklift assembly plant for KION Group in Kolbaskowo near Szczecin. The facility offers 44,000 sqm and has been delivered in compliance with environmental protection guidelines. Ultimately, 150 people will be employed in the facility. Production will be fully operational by spring 2021. “All areas of the new facility are state-of-the-art and accordingly very sustainable,” said Michał Samborski, head of development at Panattoni. “This is also part of KION’s strategy. Last year alone, KION reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 6 percent. Sustainability also characterizes the group’s product portfolio. Around 85 percent of KION’s industrial trucks are already powered electrically.”
