Panattoni Europe, Poland’s leader in the industrial property market, continues its cooperation with Pilkington Automotive Poland Sp. z o.o. This time, the developer will be responsible for building a production hall with approx. 10,530 sqm of space, at the same site as the existing factory. The investment will be located in Chmielów, at the Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone EURO-PARK WISŁOSAN.
Pilkington Automotive Poland Sp. z o.o. – one of the largest manufacturers of glass for the automotive industry, has chosen Panattoni as the general contractor, who will be responsible for extending the factory which has been operating for two years in Chmielów to include another production hall centred around a special electric furnace used in the manufacturing process of innovative glazing for the automotive industry. The new facility will take up 10,530 sqm and construction works will go on under non-standard circumstances – while the plant keeps operating at full capacity. Panattoni was chosen in the tendering procedure and the completion of works is scheduled for 31 March 2015.
The investment to be realised by Panattoni for Pilkington Automotive Poland Sp. z o.o. is the developer’s second project for the glass manufacturer – in 2012, the developer erected a 35,000-square-metre production and warehousing facility with 13,500 sqm for production, 16,700 sqm for warehousing and office space of 1,600 sqm.
The investment will be realised at the second factory of Pilkington Automotive Poland Sp. z o.o in Poland – the first one is located in Sandomierz – at the Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone EURO-PARK WISŁOSAN. To be precise, in Chmielów, a few kilometres from Tarnobrzeg and approx. 30 kilometres from Sandomierz.
At present, Panattoni Europe is developing 162,600 sqm of new warehouse space which is comprised of such investments as the recently established Panattoni Park Sosnowiec, Panattoni Park Ożarów II or Panattoni Park Poznań III and IV, as well as a new facility at Panattoni Park Łódź East. Panattoni has just completed the two fulfilment centres for Amazon totalling 246,000 sqm. The developer also tops the podium in terms of performance for H1 2014 – the company delivered 108,000 sqm to the market (incl. 50,000 sqm for Castorama Polska and 33,600 sqm for Polaris), that is more than twice as much as the runner-up, and also had the highest number of square metres under construction, with as much as 34,900 sqm.
