Panattoni Schnellecke Logistics as a new tenant at the Panattoni Park Berlin South

8 June 2022

Panattoni is letting all three units of the just recently completed Hall 3 in the Panattoni Park Berlin South in Rangsdorf, Brandenburg. The new user is Schnellecke Logistics, an international family-owned company headquartered in Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, which offers its customers a broad range of logistics services at more than 70 locations worldwide. The focus in this respect is on value-added logistics for the automobile sector.

In the Panattoni Park, the logistics service provider is moving into a total usable space of over 34,800 sqm, consisting of approx. 30,800 sqm of hall space, around 1,850 sqm of office space and 2,250 sqm of mezzanine space. Additionally, 83 car parking spaces and 9 truck parking spaces are available to the future tenant in the outside areas. Schnellecke Logistics is already the fourth company to relocate to the new Panattoni Park at the Rangsdorf location.

On a plot sized approx. 28 ha before the gates of Berlin, Panattoni is developing the logistics property with a total space of around 130,000 sqm, spread over five buildings, without pre-letting. As a result of its close proximity to southern Berlin’s motorway ring road A10, the property has fast connections to the federal motorways A2, A9 and A24. By car, Berlin-Schönefeld Airport is only 18 minutes away, and the Tesla Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg only 25 minutes away.

Panattoni is implementing comprehensive infrastructural as well as environmental measures on site. These include the extensive renaturation of a park as well as the reshaping of a forest sized 3,000 sqm, the relocation of a local species of lizard and the setting of skylark plots. A WHC (water hazard class) foil was laid in order to enable the potential storage and processing of water-polluting substances for future tenants.

“With the new spaces in the Panattoni Park Berlin South, we can further expand our services for customers from the automotive sector,” said Lars Otte, Vice President Group Business Development of Schnellecke Logistics. “The dynamically growing region of Berlin-Brandenburg with its proximity to the capital harbours great potential, especially for us as a logistics service provider. Additionally, it is favourably located in the centre of Europe and has excellent connections to numerous motorways, rail networks and waterways.”

Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner at Panattoni, commented on the relocation: “Schnellecke Logistics is a real logistics heavyweight. We welcome this outstanding traditional company as a new tenant to our Panattoni Park Berlin South in Rangsdorf. As the negotiations on the lease agreement proceeded speedily and purposefully, Schnellecke Logistics was able to quickly secure the required spaces for the further processing of its customer transactions.”

The second construction phase, with Hall 3, in the Panattoni Park Berlin South was completed in March 2022. Schnellecke Logistics’ lease will start in July 2022.

Colliers International Deutschland GmbH is responsible for the letting.

Currently, 30,000 sqm of usable space are still available in the Panattoni Park Berlin South in Rangsdorf.
