Panattoni will develop a facility for Weber in Zabrze. The BTS project for the US manufacturer of grills and accessories will offer 50,000 sqm of office space with the possibility to add an additional 30,000 sqm in the future. The facility will be equipped with solar panels and certified under BREEAM. Weber will move in in August 2021. “We have decided to set up our first assembly line and distribution center in Poland, having regard to the dynamic growth of our business. This is our first manufacturing plant in Europe. We chose Upper Silesia, because it is one of the key European logistics centers, close to suppliers and customers. Within an hour’s drive, you can reach a population of 8 million people, and within four hours as many as 50 million consumers,” said Michael Jacobs, executive vice president of global supply chain and operations at Weber-Stephen.
