Jonathan Rose Companies and L+M Development Partners are set to build a 655-unit, 100-percent affordable housing project in East Harlem, N.Y. The development is slated to become the largest passive house in the nation with 163 designated as permanently affordable. The project also has 20 percent of the total units serving extremely low-income households and nearly 60 percent of the total units serving low-income households. The development will also feature 79 affordable apartments for seniors and a new charter school, YMCA, community health center, urban market and Union Settlement community services space.
