Paweł Tamborski to become new CEO of WSE?

16 May 2014

Paweł Tamborski, the deputy minister of Poland’s Treasury, may become the next CEO of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. He is considered a frontrunner for the position, according to the daily Puls Biznesu. The newspaper reports that it is highly likely Tamborski will replace the current WSE chief, Adam Maciejewski, when his contract expires on July 1. Tamborski’s nomination has reportedly been forwarded to the prime minister’s office for approval. Tamborski has extensive experience in the field, having previously worked for UniCredit and Wood & Company, which could help the Polish bourse become more competitive, market watchers point out.
