A joint venture between PCCP and Fore Property has been formed to build a new ground-up multifamily development in downtown Hyattsville, MD. The new project, The Edition, will be a 351-unit apartment community built on the former site of the Kiplinger magazine publishing plant. Located on East-West Highway, the property will feature 72 studios along with a majority of one and two bedroom units. Amenities will include an outdoor recreational area with billiards, barbecue stations, and 421 parking spaces. The site is located near the Prince George’s Plaza Metro Station and the mixed-use University Town Center. Completion of the scheme is scheduled for the spring of 2019. “The Edition will offer an attractive, more economical alternative to prime D.C.-area neighborhoods, as well as appeal to people who are looking to reduce their daily commute and live near work,” said John Randall, managing director of PCCP.
