Pedestrian underpass planned for Romana Square

13 February 2013

The Bucharest City Hall wants to build a pedestrian underpass in Romana Square in order to lower the number of pedestrian crossings above ground and to link the underpass with the subway station.

According to the Urban Plan currently being debated publicly, the underpass will have five entry points, and will be linked with the Romana Square subway station. The project also proposes public lighting, green areas and easing of auto traffic.
