25 January 2016

Pelagonija opened a biogas power plant next to a dairy farm it owns near Novaci in southern Macedonia. The agricultural company invested €20m in the 3-megawatt biogas plant and dairy farm. The biogas power plant offers a modern, environmentally friendly solution by processing manure.

“I hope there will be similar investments in agriculture in the future with funds provided by the budget,” said Mihail Cvetkov, Macedonia’s minister of agriculture, forestry and water, who attended the opening ceremony on Friday. Pelagonija specializes in plant growing, livestock breeding and fish farming.
