Francisc Peli and Cristina Filip, the two name partners behind PeliFilip, one of the biggest law firms in Bucharest, have decided to leave the firm they founded in 2008 and launch separate practices. Filip will serve as managing partner of Filip & Company. She is taking many members of the PeliFilip team with her. “We have set out to create a company where the brand survives the partners. They may come and go. And our company certainly means much more than Cristina Filip’s vision or the total competence of the partners. Few things are truly resilient and lasting in Romania. I hope Filip & Company is one of them,” Filip said in a statement. Peli and his wife, Carmen, meanwhile, are setting up another firm under the Peli name.
