Penta has begun construction work on the Florentinum office project in Prague 1. One of the contractors, PSJ, has taken over the construction plot to build the skeleton, which is to be completed in February 2013. The baseplate covers 13,800 sqm and the basement construction has been designed in order to withstand floods similar to those in 2002. Penta has not chosen a general contractor for the project, and decided to employ the project manager K4 to oversee the work, while choosing contractors is a number of separate tenders. The complex is due for completion in the fourth quarter 2013 and will cost the investor €200m.
