Penta Investments has chosen the architect Vladimír Krátký to design Mechanica, the second office building in its Waltrovka project now underway at the Jinonice metro station in Prague 5. The project will be a refurbishment of an industrial building at the location. A third office building, to be called Dynamica, is scheduled for completion by 2020.
Penta is currently building the first phase of the project, Aviatica, set for completion in mid-2015. Costs are expected to hit CZK 1bn. Designed by Cigler Marani Architects, the office building will offer 27,000 sqm of space, which will be leased at €13.5/sqm/month. HB Reavis plans to charge the same for space in its Metronom office building, scheduled for completion at the beginning of 2015 at the Nové Butovice metro station in Prague 13.
