Penta warns against politicizing airport project
Municipalities surrounding Prague’s second international airport in Vodochody, to be developed by Penta Investments, are demanding that the project’s environmental impact assessment, issued in October, be reviewed. Penta’s investment director, Zdeněk Kubát, however, claims that would be illegal and is warning local administrations not to politicize the matter.

Penta estimates that 3.5 million passengers could pass through the Vodochody airport in the future. The airport would cater to low-cost air carriers. The project will cost the investor CZK 3bn and completion is foreseen in 2016 at the earliest. Penta wants to apply for the planning permit in June.
