PepsiCo start construction of its production plant in Środa Śląska, worth PLN 1 billion

PepsiCo inaugurated the construction of the most environmentally sustainable PepsiCo snack production plant in Europe in Środa Śląska, the company said. The investment worth over PLN 1 billion – the company’s fifth production facility located in Poland – will be implemented in stages until 2025.

“The new factory will supply snacks both to the Polish market and for export to over 20 countries, including Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. The facility with an area of ​​approximately seven football fields will be built on 30 hectare plot located in the village of Święte near Środa Śląska in the Legnica Special Economic Zone (Dolnośląskie Voivodeship) according to its announcement.

The new PepsiCo investment in Poland will have a positive impact on the constant, sustainable development of the Polish and European economy, the creation of new jobs, the development of local communities, and will contribute to a significant increase in the reach of the Agrarian Program that the company implements in cooperation with Polish farmers, it indicated.

“We are proud that our new project will use the latest green technologies. We already use only wind energy to power all four production plants and PepsiCo headquarters in Poland, and we also install solar panels in selected facilities, such as a beverage production plant. in Michrów or in the central warehouse in Mszczonów. These innovative solutions will ensure that the investment in Środa Śląska will achieve climate neutrality by 2035,” said the president of PepsiCo Polska, Michał Jaszczyk..
