Petroinvest tightens Total partnership

6 June 2012

Two top posts at Petroinvest could soon be filled by Jean-Francois Duhot and Jean-Paul Bertoncini, Puls Biznesu daily reports. The company’s majority shareholder, Ryszard Krauze, has already applied for the move to be approved at the General Meeting of shareholders. A decision on the Frenchman is to be taken next month.

“We have been planning to strengthen the company with the new directors for a few months now,” says Bertrand Le Guern, the Chairman of Petroinvest. Both candidates have been working for Total, which produces oil in Congo, Nigeria, Russia, and Kazakstan. “The step follows our decision to enter into a partnership with Total to managing the Szirak deposits in Kazakhstan,” Le Guern said.
