23 December 2014

Pfizer is relocating its financial operations to Prague. The pharmaceutical company plans to invest $8m into its new global financial solutions center. A team of 55 employees will continue to oversee the Russian market from there and will later take over 10 countries in the CEE region including the Czech Republic. Pfizer is looking for financial and accountancy experts and hopes to hire 32 new employees within three years.

More and more pharmaceutical companies have been relocating their IT centers and shared service centers to Prague over the years. Novartis invested CZK 400m into a new IT center. It already has plans to double the investment and employ a total of 400 people at the center. MSD, meanwhile, has leased the majority of space at Skanska’s newly completed Riverview building, where it plans to relocate its global IT center.
