Poland’s gas giant PGNiG posted a net profit of PLN 66m in the third quarter, thanks to an agreement with Russia’s Gazprom to lower gas prices by more than 15 percent. The company’s Q3 results surpassed market expectations, and PGNiG announced last week that its recent performance will no doubt help boost its Q4 results.
“The level of the gas price reductions to be implemented by PGNiG is currently the most important factor. I expect, it could be 10 percent,” said Tomasz Kasowicz of BZ WBK.
