Venice-based window and door manufacturer PGT Industries produced a new quarterly high in sales, $129.8 million, for the third quarter. The results are an increase of 29 percent from the third quarter of 2015, when sales reached $100.7 million, and a continuation of a string of positive quarterly results. With around 2,600 employees, the company is one of the largest in the Sarasota-Bradenton region.
“We delivered another period of solid financial and operating performance in the third quarter,” said PGT Chairman and CEO Rod Hershberger. “We grew revenue, gross margin and net income on both a sequential and year-over-year basis, which was the result of sales and profitability from both of our acquired businesses, CGI and WinDoor, as well as from our legacy business, PGT Custom Windows & Doors.”
