Photon Energy Group wants to borrow up to EUR 15 million from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to complete photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of 30 MW in Romania.
Photon Energy is a regional renewable energy producer with an operational portfolio of 123.4 MW of small and medium-sized PV plants in Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Australia.
Founded in 2008 by entrepreneurs Georg Hotar and Michael Gartner, Photon Energy entered the Romanian market in 2015. The company is headquartered in Amsterdam and listed on the Warsaw, Prague and Frankfurt stock exchanges.
