The leadership of Pilsen and the Pilsen region aren’t supporting the construction of three new sheds, according to the Czech News Agency. The mayor of Pilsen Martin Zrzavecky said he prefers companies who add more value to their products. Panattoni Europe allegedly has plans to build a trio of large halls, totally 58,000, 56,000 and more than 30,000 sqm total. “I’ve said that they don’t have our support,” said Zrzavecky. “It’s supposed to be enormous rental halls on the Bor Terrace,’ said the mayor. “We don’t want the sheds and we’re not going want them.”
The regional leadership prefers innovative companies that have their own products. “These types of projects we would definitely support,” said the Pilsen regional governor Josef Bernard. “Giving someone a blank check these days so they can build halls, warehouses, assembly halls is something we aren’t going to support.”
