PKP to replace Ikea’s mixed-use building with offices

17 February 2016

Polish State Railways is planning to add a 70-meter office building in central Warsaw at the corner of Żelazna and Al. Jerozolimskie streets. The new office building will replace a two-story mixed-use project, developed for Ikea by the former Swede Center, where a retailer opened its first store on the Polish market. Demolition work is expected to start in 2018, as a part of wider investment plan for the area. Earlier this year, PKP revealed its plans to develop a 200-meter office tower at the corner of Al. Jerozolimskie and Jana Pawła II streets. It is currently looking for a strategic investor for that project.
