A new strategy for Poland’s biggest logistics operator PKS is being announced at the same time as the company’s new leader Maciej Bachman was being introduced. Following the resignation of Jacek Machowski yesterday, the company announced Bachman’s appointment was appropriate, as he’s be supervising PKS’s financial department until now. “I will be responsible for the company’s finances, management and the strategy that’s being currently developed and it set to be agreed in the fourth quarter of 2012 at the latest,” says Bachman. The new strategy, as it’s currently being explained, hardly bursts with innovation: “We’re planning to focus on new clients as well as on cooperation with existing ones, ensuring that the increased sales will accompany be accompanied by profitability,” says Bachman.
