23 February 2016

Developer Bart Blatstein has submitted plans to the city’s planning commission to build a mixed-use development at the intersection of Broad Street and Washington Avenue in South Philadelphia. 1001 South Broad St. will encompass a 34-story, 800-unit luxury apartment tower along with a four-story, 60 unit building called the “Village”, upon whose rooftop will be 177,000 sq ft of retail space and restaurants. A three level parking garage with 625 spaces is also planned for the facility. The Civic Design and Planning Commission is expected to review the plans on March 1.
