According to research complied by Collier County Planning Commission Chairman Mark Strain, 32 residential developments have been approved in the Naples area in the past year. The projects will add an additional 4,182 new lots for sale along with 76 new commercial developments which were approved in Collier County in 2016, and 13 senior living facilities are in the planning stages. “We are the wealthiest county in Florida with an average per capita income of $78,000,” said Strain. “Our population has increased over 10.7 percent between the years 2010 to 2016. At this rate, we will reach maturation in the year 2030. The Immokalee Road/Interstate 75 and Collier/U.S. 41 corridors are the fastest growing areas in the county,”
