The city of Karnobat in southeastern Bulgaria will be getting a €5.1m compost plant. The plant is being developed by Agroshans Komers, while funding will come from the European Union.
The factory will use the most advanced US technology for rapid composting, reducing the time required to convert waste into compost from three months to three days. There is only one other similar plant in Europe, located in Manchester, England.
