Belgrade Waterfront is the name of the construction project headed by the Serbian government aimed at improving Belgrade’s cityscape and bolstering its economy by revitalizing the Sava amphitheater, a mostly abandoned stretch of land on the right bank of the Sava river. It was started in 2014 with the reconstruction of the Belgrade Cooperative building. The €3.5bn project is being carried out together with Emirati investors. The project includes office and luxury apartment buildings, eight hotels, a shopping mall and Belgrade Tower, which will stand at around 220 meters.
