PODS Enterprises has signed a new 170,428 square foot lease with Duke Realty for a build to suit warehouse in Orlando. The new facility, built on a 12.48-acre site at 7133 Municipal Drive, will allow the firm to consolidate its operations from two other Orlando-area warehouses and expand by approximately 72,000 sqf. PODS, or Portable On Demand Storage was founded in 1998 and is based in Clearwater, Florida. The company was sold Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan in 2014. Alex Beacham of Cushman and Wakefield represented PODS in the transaction, while Duke Realty was represented by Tim Perry, Vice President of Leasing.
“This build-to-suit warehouse will provide the space we need to accommodate our continued growth plus enable us to improve the efficiency of our operations in central Florida,” said Dan Knafo of PODS. “We appreciate Duke Realty working with us to identify and secure a site with superior highway access and to design a building with features that our important to our operations.”
