Poland maintains dominant position in CEE investment market

Poland maintained its dominant position in the Central and Eastern Europe investment markets during the first half of the year, recording the highest diversity and liquidity of products and diversity of investors, according to Collier International. Demand remained high in all sectors, but office transactions dominated. The total value of investment transactions in H1 amounted to around €2.58bn, which is the second highest performance after H1 2018. Market liquidity was high with 75 assets sold in 57 transactions. “Most of the investments were made in office assets, over 60 percent of the total turnover. Second place was taken by the retail market with 18 percent, followed by warehouses 14 percent and new, alternative asset classes, such as hotels and student dormitories amounting 6 percent,” said Piotr Mirowski, senior partner, director, and head of investment services at Colliers International.
