The number of new passenger cars registered in Poland amounted to 39,528 cars in March this year, which means a decrease by 17.4% y / y, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) reported.
In March 2022, the number of passenger car registrations in the European Union continued to decline (-20.5%) – 844,187 units were sold. The ongoing disruptions in the supply chain, further exacerbated by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, negatively affected car production. most countries in the region saw double-digit sales declines, including four key markets: Spain (-30.2%), Italy (-29.7%), France (-19.5%) and Germany (-17.5%).
Cumulatively in January-March this year. the number of passenger cars registered in Poland decreased by 13.4% y / y to 102,041 vehicles.
In the first quarter of 2022, the number of new car registrations decreased by 12.3% y / y to a total of 2,245,976 new passenger cars. Declines were recorded in all four major EU markets: Italy (-24.4%), France (-17.3%), Spain (-11.6%) and Germany (-4.6%), it was also reported.
