Poland: Retail sales in e-commerce fell to 10% in February

The share of online sales in retail sales (current prices) fell to 10% in February 2022 from 11.1% a month ago, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported. Internet sales decreased by 8.9% m / m.

In February 2022, as compared to January this year, there was a decrease in the value of online retail sales in current prices (by 8.9%). The share of this sales decreased from 11.1% in January this year to 10% in February this year. Among the presented groups with a significant share a decrease in sales was shown by companies classified into the following groups: ‘furniture, radio, household appliances’ (from 20.5% a month before to 19.0%), ‘textiles, clothing, footwear’ (from 28.8% to 28.6%, respectively) ). On the other hand, units from the press, books and other sales group recorded an increase in specialized stores’ (from 25.1% to 25.4%), it was announced.
