A deal on selling the state-owned airlines LOT is back on the table this week, with Polandās Treasury announcing that talks are on the way with new investors. Following Turkish Airlinesā withdrawal from the tender last Friday, the spokeswoman for Polandās Treasury, Magdalena Kobos, revealed that LOT is back in talks to strike a deal.
This week, Turkish Airlines announced that its supervisory board had decided to withdraw from its bid to privatize LOT. āTalks with the Turkish operator were pleasant for us and we accept the decision,ā said Marcin Piróg, the chairman of the Polish LOT adding that the company is looking to increase its competitiveness.
āWeāre back to talks with the partners who were interested in buying LOT. The adviser on the sale is expected to be revealed this month,ā Kobos said.
