Polish government adopted a draft regarding BGK guarantees up to PLN 100,000 for housing loans.

The government has adopted a draft providing for the granting by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) of guarantees for housing loans, up to a maximum of PLN 100,000. PLN, according to the statements of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. In the event of a second and subsequent child appearing in the family, part of this guaranteed amount would be covered by the state. The project was announced as part of the “Polish Deal”.

“The government has adopted a draft law on guaranteeing own contribution for those young people who want to buy an apartment, take out a loan or incur liabilities. children additionally undertake to pay back up to PLN 100,000 of their own contribution – PLN 20,000 in the event of the appearance of a second child, PLN 60,000 in the event of the appearance of a third child, Morawiecki said during a press conference.

According to the information from the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (Chancellery of the Prime Minister), the draft act on guaranteed housing loan and on loan repayments made in connection with the household enlargement assumes that BGK will grant guarantees up to 20% of the housing loan amount, not more than PLN 100,000 for a minimum period of 15 years. After the birth of the second child in the family, BGK will repay PLN 20 thousand in a single payment, in the case of the birth of a third child – PLN 60,000.

At the same time, the draft proposes to introduce a maximum price limit (including the construction contribution (per 1 sqm of usable floor area of ​​the financed apartment and an authorization for the Council of Ministers allowing the regulation to lower the value of the coefficients affecting the statutory price limits).
