With a number of big property deals currently underway, Poland’s property investment volume is expected to exceed last year’s figures with some analysts predicting it could hit €3.5bn. Following the sale of Ghelamco’s portfolio to Starwood, the Metropolitan office building in Warsaw looks as if it will be the next major asset to change hands.
“Talks are also underway to sell two large-scale retail centers in Szczecin and Wrocław to the South Korean investment fund NSP.” says Marcin Purgal of Savills. He adds, however, that there are now several projects, including office and warehouse, on the market in Warsaw and Poland’s regional cities. “Those transactions are being kept confidential,” he adds.
