Polish jobless rate hits 13.5%

Poland’s unemployment rose slightly to 13.5 percent in February, a 0.3 percent hike from January. The Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported that the number of unemployed Poles who registered for work in labor offices across the country reached 2.1 million. Unmployment rates have increased in nine regions in Poland over the past year.
