Polish new orders in industry increased by 54.8% y / y in May

New orders in industry increased by 54.8% y / y in May 2021, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported. In monthly terms, it decreased by 0.8%, the Office informed.

Orders for exports and exports increased in May by 64.1% y / y and decreased by 5.1% in monthly terms.

The Industrial New Orders indicator is used to assess future production and shows the development of demand for industrial products and services. Orders in industry are defined as the value of contracts (excluding VAT) binding the manufacturer and a third party for the provision of goods and services.
