Prices of new flats fell across Poland in June. “It’s the biggest drop seen across Poland during the last two years, resulting from the situation on the local residential market,” said Marta Kosińska from the real estate website Szybko.pl. Łódź was the hardest hit with prices there decreasing by nearly 4.5 percent. A 2-percent drop was also seen in Gdynia, though the city remains to be the most expensive in the TriCity area. And the average asking price in Pozńan is now at PLN 5,000/sqm. The housing market is having a hard time, too, market observers point out, with many residential projects failing to match demand. “The buyers are still most interested in a small-size flats. The bigger ones are mainly acquired on the secondary market,” according to a redNet Property Group report.
