According to an upcoming report on Polish shale gas prepared by Poland’s Chief National Geologist and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the extent of supplies might not be as plentiful as previously believed. “The initial, optimistic estimates regarding shale gas in Poland will be significantly reduced in a new report on this subject,” Piotr Wozniak, Poland’s Chief National Geologist told a press conference in Washington. The report is expected to be released on March 21.
