4 August 2014

The head of construction company Porr Karl-Heinz Strauss believes that the Czech construction sector return to growth before the end of 2014. He told the server ihned.cz that the company will consider further acquisitions in the Czech market. “We are looking at companies that expand our portfolio or at regional representations,” he said. Strauss also hinted there are signals of investor interest in the Czech market.

Strauss predicted that Porr’s Czech revenues would increase slightly in 2014, following four year’s of decline. In 2013, the company reported €126m in revenues, down from €186m three years ago. The Czech Republic is one of four key markets for the contractor along with Austria, Germany and Poland.
