The value of Portuguese wine exports rose 2.1 percent during the first quarter of the year to more than €185 million, compared to the same period last year. Countries with double-digit growth in Portuguese wine imports included South Korea (44.2 percent), Mexico (34.7 percent), the United States (18.8 percent), Japan (15.4 percent) and Canada (12.0 percent). Denmark, China, Macao and Russia all reduced their imports of the traditional Portuguese product. During the first three months of this year, the volume of exports rose 4.4% in volume, in y-o-y terms.
