Omega Grid Development Group is developing a 44-room hotel project designed for recovering hospital patients in Miami’s Little Havana. The company plans is currently seeking permits in order to start construction by November on the Med Inn Suites & Residences located at 1343 and 1363 N.W. First St. Omega is anticipating a 14 month turn around with MasterCon as the general contractor.
The hotel intends to establish an alliance with hospitals in the Miami Health District as the recommended lodging option for patients who need additional care after being discharged. Guests and their families who needed to spend more than two nights recovering in Miami could do so at rates starting at $130 per night while receiving treatment at a nearby hospital. Med Inn Suites & Residences would be less than 2 miles from the Miami Dade College Medical Center Campus, Holtz Children’s Hospital, Jackson Memorial Hospital and University of Miami Hospital.
