PPF offloads Prague Eye towers

16 June 2016

PPF Group of the Czech billionaire Petr Kellner has sold Prague Eye, a project with two highrise towers it planned to build in the Prague 11 – Chodov district. The group did not succeed to secure planning for the two office towers, according to idnes.cz. Neither the buyer nor the price of the transaction were disclosed. The towers, 139 and 128 meters tall, were designed by CMC architects.

The head of the planning commission for Prague 11, Aleš Kulhánek, told the press that Prague Eye was not included in the city’s existing master plan. The new Metropolitan plan, prepared by the Prague’s Institute for planning and development, reportedly includes the project with 110 m towers. Prague Eye is the Kellner’s third project disposal recently, having sold Trojmezí (located on the borders of Prague 10,11 and 15) and the Polar Bear project in Prague 6, because the municipalities had blocked planning.
