Prague 8 has terminated its contract with the construction company Metrostav concerning the construction of Centrum Palmovka. Begun in 2010 by the municipality, it expected to use the new building next to the Palmovka metro station as its new headquarters. But Metrostav stopped building work on the building over disputes over payments, and won an arbitration suit that forced Prague 8 to pay it CZK 18m in back fees. At the time, it was thought there was still around CZK 600m worth of work to be completed on the building.
