Metrostav has been hired to renovate Prague’s Václav Havel International Airport in preparation of regular flights from Seoul which are slated to begin next summer. The renovation, expected to cost CZK 154m, will include the construction of three new boarding bridges and additional infrastructure necessary to accommodate Airbus A380 aircraft. Korean Air plans use the airplane, which can seat up to 880 people, for its Seoul – Prague route. The aircraft’s 80 meter wingspan is about 15 meters longer than the current Boeing 747s that fly into the Prague airport.
