Four of Prague’s districts are looking for ways to build new headquarters, with Prague 8 project the most advanced and realistic. The local administration plans to build on a plot at Palmovka, and currently is waiting for the construction permit. Prague 7’s quest for new headquarters has been ongoing for years now, with several tenders having been called, and then cancelled. Mercury Tower now appears to be the front-runner, now that the building’s price has been cut in half to a mere CZK 390m. Prague 11’s leadership is also looking for new headquarters to move into, and is currently considering a building on top of the Haje metro station that would cost it CZK 300m. The tender for the CZK 500m project for Prague 12 has stirred sharp criticism and currently is waiting for the verdict by the Antimonopoly office.
