Prague finalizing planning for Wenceslas Square tram investment

Prague’s city hall is completing work on a proposed change to the master plan that would allow construction of tram tracks from Vinohradská street to the main train station. The change could be approved within a year, according deputy mayor Petr Hlaváček. At the same time, the city is looking for a studio to put together project documentation for the investment. The city has approved a route that takes trams from the State Opera building along Wilsonova to Washingtonova streets to the main train station before linking with existing tracks on Bolzanova street. At the same time, the city is preparing for construction of tram tracks down Wenceslas square from Vinohradská and connecting with existing tracks that cross the square at the Jindříšská and Vodičkova streets.
