Prague’s D metro underway with documentation tender

28 August 2015

The Prague Transport Company is looking for a project documentation supplier for the D metro line. The price of the order is estimated at CZK 450m. Bids are due by mid-November. The city’s fourth metro line will connect the southern suburbs to the center. The first part of the route is scheduled for completion by 2022, with costs estimated at CZK 50bn. Prague hopes to tap EU funds to help finance the project. The D line will run from Nám. Míru in Prague 2 to Písnice in Prague 4 and the city recently decided that it will use driverless trains. The first phase will connect Pankrác to Písníce, both in Prague 4.
