Flat prices in Prague are the highest in the CEE region, with a 100 sqm apartment selling for CZK 5.4m on average, according to data compiled by Deloitte. In Hungary, a flat that is twice as large can be bought for the same price, while in Warsaw, 180 sqm apartments are being sold for similar price. In London or Paris, on the other hand, one-room studios are selling for much more, according to the data. Czech buyers would need 6.9 annual salaries to buy a 70 sqm flat. Hungarians would need more than seven annual salaries and in the UK, buyers would need 11 annual salaries. Flats are much more affordable in Germany, where people pay 3.3 annual salary for a home on average.
