Prague targets 15 brownfield sites for development

10 September 2018

Hospodářské noviny reports that Prague’s Metropolitan plan has picked out 15 brownfield locations that the city should prioritize as development zones. They include Penta’s land around the Masaryk train station and three sites controlled by Sekyra Group, including Smichov City, which recently received planning approval, and Rohansky ostrov, where the developer hopes to get planning within six months. But the newspaper leads with information about Skanska Property’s Malešice site where its former factory site will soon undergo construction to turn it into a neighborhood for 2,500 people. Another brownfield site in Malešice, near the Depo Hostivar metro station, is also moving forward after its EIA was approved last week.
