The City of Prague wants to buy land around the Džbán reservoir, bordering the Divoká Šárka nature reserve in Prague 6. Wood & Company originally wanted to build a residential project at the site through a company called Molepo. The Prague 6 municipality, however, refused to change the master plan, killing the project.
The City of Prague now says it wants to improve the popular recreational area and has offered to buy the land from Molepo or exchange it for another plot. Molepo bought 10 ha of land around the reservoir in 2012 from the liquidated state-owned company Pražské kanalizace a vodní toky for CZK 800/sqm. The company is demanding CZK 2,000/sqm from the city, writes the server e15.
